About Abec 11 Centrax, Green, 77mm/80a (Single Wheel)
The widest, fastest, grippiest downhill skateboarding racing wheel available! These centerset wheels are made for competitive downhill racing. The IGSA Downhill World Speed Record was set on Abec 11 Centrax Wheels at 70.23 mph. If you have ever thought, "Hm, my 75mm wheels are big, but not big enough," you'll want to check these out!
With one of the biggest contact patches you’ll ever see, Centrax Wheels are a force to be reckoned with. Their weight gives you all the momentum you want and will keep you rolling forever. Made with Abec 11’s signature world-renowned Reflex formula urethane, Centrax wheels have some of the best rebound and grip properties known to man.
Keep Rollin’ Rollin' Rollin’
If you want a set of wheels that will roll forever, Centrax wheels are something to consider. Due to a huge amount of urethane, they weigh quite a bit. The heavier the wheel, the longer it takes to slow down and the more speed and momentum the wheel will carry! More momentum also means a higher top speed. If you are looking to break your personal speed record and have some monster hills to slay, Centrax wheels should be your weapon of choice!
Not only are Centrax wheels a premier downhill wheel, they are also loved by long distance enthusiasts for many of the same reasons why downhill riders love them! They roll for a long time and have great rebound which makes them good for long distance pushing and pumping. Not to mention that in either durometer -77a or 80a – and in either size – 77mm or 83mm – Centrax wheels will feel plush, absorb road imperfections, and roll over everything in it's path.
Massive Wheel and Massive Grip
Large, square lips and Abec 11 Reflex urethane provide ton of traction and great rebound properties when coming out of turns. Being a centerset wheel, Centrax wheels offer substantial grip, with both the inner and outer lip hugging the ground as you turn. It's square lips extend the contact patch of the wheel, so nearly all of the wheel’s mass is making contact with the ground. Square lips deform to the road surface more (this is a good thing!) providing better traction.
Available in relatively low durometers, Centrax wheels are made to grip. However, if you want to do some occasional high speed drifting, the 80a will be a better option. If the roads you skate are in less-than-prime condition, you might want to consider 77a.
On a side note, make sure you have a pretty good amount of wheel clearance if you are going to rock Centrax wheels. They are big!
