Concept Holesom Longboards was inspired by the Whirling Dervish video Adam and Adam made a few years ago. We would watch the video, and then ride the hills in our Laguna Beach neighborhood all afternoon and evening. In this complete state of stoke, the idea was born: 40 inches of hemp and bamboo with holes all the way through.
LBL Longboard Larry is known around the world for his great decks... so imagine our stoke when he jumped at the opportunity to partner on this project. And project it has been! 15 months in the making, proto after proto (the first one was awesome, but we were after something special, and subtle improvements and additional innovations resulted). 16 different protos in all with varying compositions of hemp and bamboo, including hole placement variations to develop a production board that online stores can ship same day... a Holesom Longboard that is every bit an LBL.
